The HTC Sensation was officially announced last year on April 12 and later in the year were added to the Sensation XE and Sensation XL. These two devices cannot really be seen as a successor to the original, but rather as an extension. But with the advent of the Mobile World Congress at the end of February there has been speculation about the new flagship of HTC. The device which is currently the most likely is the HTC Supreme, which is associated with a quad-core processor.
There are already some leaked specifications under the name HTC Edge – the code name of the Supreme. Thus it is likely the world’s first quad-core smartphone, which the processor has four cores. The clock will be on 1.5 GHz. The screen also gets a big upgrade to a 4.7-inch LCD with Super HD resolution (1280 by 720 pixels). The camera remains at 8.0 megapixels and stabbing the HTC Supreme will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC’s own Sense interface – may be renewed. Beats Audio will also not be missed.
On September 14, 2011 an upgraded version of the HTC Sensation officially announced via press release, called the HTC Sensation XE. The Sensation XE has a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a battery with a capacity of 1730 mAh and Beats by Dr. Dre.Dre. Furthermore, the Sensation XE come with 16 GB of memory and is now available from stock in the Netherlands.
At a price of 484 euros in the Netherlands, the HTC Sensation XE is not the most expensive phone on the market contemporary. With the latest Beats Audio Mode, fast processor and good battery life, the phone is not a bad choice. If you are looking for an HTCAndroid phone and you cannot decide between the Sensation and Sensation XE, then the obvious choice for the Sensation XE. Ithas a better appearance and a number of upgrades are impressive.
